Meditation and Mindfulness Education for Recovery Based Programs
.
.
At Refugia Meditation, the mission is to deliver trauma-informed meditation and mindfulness education that compliments your clinical approach and supports clients in deepening their personal 11th Step practices, ultimately promoting long-term recovery and relapse prevention.
Yoga Nidra and mindfulness practices increase self-awareness and emotional regulation, helping clients identify and interrupt relapse patterns before they take hold.
Yoga Nidra balances the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Regular practice strengthens autonomic nervous system flexibility, allowing clients to spend less time in fight or flight responses when triggered and giving them the tools they need to return to a state of calm and rest.
Mindfulness trains individuals to observe cravings without acting on them, increasing their ability to respond rather than react. Clients learn to rest in “The Pause” between thought and action.
Many individuals in recovery have a history of trauma. These practices offer a gentle, non-invasive way to access healing and release trapped energy without reactivating the nervous system.
Yoga Nidra is “Sleep Meditation.” Following guided meditations that utilize the body’s natural process of sleep, clients learn to enter deep states of rest and healing intentionally. Regular practice improves overall sleep.
Often, what’s learned in early recovery, serves as the foundation for life outside of treatment. After weeks of practicing with Refugia Meditation your clients will have a practical practice to take with them as they re-enter the world.
Refugia Meditation is designed to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of treatment schedules and levels of care. Sessions are available seven days a week, allowing for collaboration with your clinical teams to identify times that align with your program structure and client needs. Sessions are customized to fit your program’s scheduling blocks and delivered once, twice or three times per week, based on your therapeutic goals and budgetary considerations.
As a contracted provider, Refugia Meditation offers your facility a customized insurance reimbursement form to support billing for the meditation and mindfulness services we deliver to your clients. This form is designed with Program Directors and billing teams in mind- pre-populated with appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes commonly used in substance use treatment settings. It simplifies the claims process and helps your center access potential reimbursement for trauma-informed,relapse prevention-focused programming. The goal is to integrate seamlessly with your clinical model while easing the administrative burden on your staff.
